Format & Rules

The Taboo Tour runs for twelve months — one round on the second Wednesday of every month, around the golf courses of Hua Hin, managed by the Take 5 golf society. Every round finishes back at Taboo by Daddy Deli for the results.

Scoring

Played Off Handicap

Every round is played off handicap, so a fifteen handicapper and a scratch player are in the same competition. Cards are entered on the night and the table updates straight away.

Your Best Rounds Count

Your season total is made up of your best rounds rather than all twelve. Miss a month, join late, or have one round you would rather forget — none of it ends your season.

Splitting a Tie

Equal totals are separated on countback: best single round first, then the next best, and so on. If two players are still inseparable, they share the position.

The Monthly Scramble

As well as the league round on the second Wednesday, there is a team scramble on the last Wednesday of every month. Everyone tees off, the team plays on from the best ball, and one score goes in for the team.

It is played purely for fun and carries no league points — nothing about a scramble touches the league table. Scramble dates and format.

Every prize on the Tour — monthly and season — is provided by Taboo by Daddy Deli.

Who Runs It

Take 5 Golf Society

The Tour is managed by Take 5, the Hua Hin golf society — they organise the fixtures, book the courses and run the golf on the day.

Taboo by Daddy Deli

Taboo is the Tour's home and its sponsor — every monthly prize and season trophy is put up by Taboo. Wherever we play, everyone comes back for the scores, the prize giving and the evening.

Where We Play

Taboo by Daddy Deli, Hua Hin — live band, golf on the big screens and the full menu running till late. We play a different course around Hua Hin each month and come back to Taboo for the scores.
